The Flyfisher 22 is a handsome center console with a bit of Downeast Maine styling. Designed by Van Dam Custom Boats specifically for saltwater flyfishing in the Northeast, the Fly Fisher 22 is ideal for both close inshore breaking surf and shallow protected water sight casting. The boat's performance range is between 32 and 50 mph with a range of approximately 200 nm staying in the suggested power range of 90-150 hp. With high fuel efficiency and low maintenance, this boat allows owners to explore and fish in a variety of conditions and bottoms.

The hull is cold-molded with WEST SYSTEM® 105/206 epoxies. Four laminated layers of Alaskan Yellow Cedar are onthe topsides and bottom; the transom is built of marine plywood (Meranti) with a solid mahogany overlay. All transverse and fore-aft structures are also built of marine plywood. The verystiff hull is covered with 10oz E-glass and epoxy resin, faired with WEST SYSTEM®, and primed and painted with AWLGRIP® creating a finish comparable to any fiberglass boat.

The Flyfisher 22 features a spacious cockpit with casting platforms forward and aft, center console and leaning post fabricated with Divinycell® and WEST SYSTEM®. Varnished Sipo makes this boat stand out from all other fishing boats of its size and weight. All deck hardware is stainless steel and flush-mounted keeping line snags to a minimum. Dry storage is available fore and aft in six separate lockers located below the casting platforms with secure rod storage for four 10’ 6” rods and reels. Cockpit sole, side decks and casting platforms are fiberglassed, painted with AWLGRIP® and coated in non-skid.
